What does a day at the beach mean to you? For many Brits, this can seem like a somewhat futile pursuit, what with the traffic, the unpredictable weather, the faff of loading all items you might possibly need whilst at the beach (sandwiches, chairs, balls, brollies, the list goes on…), the inevitably expensive ice-creams and mundaneness of the same beach year-in, year-out.

However, moving to Spain will change all of this. I can tell you from experience that it is a life-changing moment when you realise that all you need to pack in your beach bag is keys, a towel, a bottle of water, sun-tan lotion and a book. If you buy one of numerous and amazing Spanish villas for sale on the Costa del Sol within 5 minutes of the beach, you won't have to worry about preparing for every possible contingency plan, you can just pop down for a couple of hours, bob around, lounge a little, and then get back to your day!

The wide range of beaches available to someone living in one of the apartments for sale along the Costa del Sol is also astounding. In a 15 minute drive down the coast, you will pass literally dozens of beaches that you can pick from, based on your personal preference. Do you like them sandy or  pebbly, small or big, packed with bars or almost deserted, nudist or not? This astounding number of choices also means that parking isn’t usually a problem (unless you’re arriving at peak times, usually 12-6).

One thing you can certainly rely on, however, is the weather. With 325 days of sunshine a year, you’d be hard pressed to find a day that isn’t a perfect beach day on the Costa del Sol! So if you love sitting in the sun, bobbing around in the calm Med or batting a ball back and forth, this is the place for you. Beach days around here are what you make of them, so go out and live out your ultimate beachtime dream!
