The famous Christmas lights in Malaga, one of the most dazzling displays in Europe, are a highlight of the holiday season on the Costa del Sol. This year, the official switch-on takes place on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Calle Larios, the main shopping street in the city. The lights are set to illuminate the city every evening until early January. Daily shows combining lights and music will occur at 6:30 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:30 PM, creating a magical atmosphere for visitors and locals alike.

The display includes over 2 million LED lights, complemented by various festive activities across the city, including Christmas markets and cultural performances. Additionally, this year introduces a new lantern and light show at Parque del Oeste, running from November 29, 2024, to February 12, 2025. This spectacular event features thousands of lights and traditional Chinese activities, adding even more charm to Malaga’s festive offerings.
